Three Rubik’s Cubes Juggled and Solved At Once Break a World Record

The record for solving three rotating Rubik’s cubes while juggling has been broken yet again. On July 29, 2022, 20-year-old Li Zhihao from Xiamen, Fujian, China, set an incredible time of 3 minutes and 29.29 seconds.

It is the first time in the five years since this record was set that the time has dropped below three and a half minutes.

Li Zhihao is a rotating Rubik’s cube enthusiast who holds many other Guinness World Records for cubing.

It’s not the first time he’s solved rotating Rubik’s cubes while doing something else. He’s broken records while solving Rubik’s cubes upside down, with one hand, and even underwater!

Li’s other records include the following:

Most rotating Rubik’s cubes solved while suspended upside down (195)
Most rotating Rubik’s cubes solved with one hand while suspended upside down (104)
Fastest time to solve a rotating Rubik’s cube (3x3x3) by a team of two (12.59 sec, with Ye Jiaxi)
Fastest time to solve a rotating Rubik’s cube (3x3x3) by a team of two under water (18.93 sec, with Ye Jiaxi)

The fastest time to solve three rotating Rubik’s cubes while juggling requires concentration, dexterity, and memory – all while working against the clock. It adds a new level of difficulty to traditional puzzle solving.

This record, which combines juggling and puzzle solving, has been hotly contested in recent years, with cubers eager to show their multitasking abilities.
