This craft is quite simple and does not require anything but a small jar, a paintbrush, some water and some paint.
Let’s get started!
Things you’ll need:
1.) A small plastic/glass jar
2.) Acrylic or fabric paint in the colours of green, pink/red and black.
3.) A thin or medium size paintbrush
4.) A small bowl of water
How to make the watermelon jar:
1.) First, paint half of the jar green with the paintbrush and make sure that no part of it is left out. It MUST be completely green.
2.) Now, dip your paintbrush in some water and dry with some tissue.
3.) Paint the other half of the jar red/pink and make sure that there is no part left out again.
4.) Repeat step 2.
5.) On the red half, paint dots or short lines in black paint up and down in a repeated pattern.
Now, you have a finished watermelon jar!
The only thing left is to put it on display!
You can put whatever you want in your watermelon jar now! The lid for your jar can go on the bottom of the jar for display so it doesn’t have to be thrown away. Great work making your tasty watermelon jar!
