Cinema Under the Stars Returns to MIA Park

The weather is ideal right now, and we enjoy spending as much time as possible outside.

And if you feel the same way, we have good news: cinema under the stars is returning to the Museum of Islamic Art this weekend.

Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople will premiere on Thursday, January 19. It follows the story of a boy and his foster uncle being chased by authorities after they vanish into the New Zealand bush.

The modern Disney classic Frozen (2013) will then be shown on Friday, January 20. Expect to hear a lot of people singing along to Let It Go.

Finally, on Saturday, January 21, the Brazilian animated adventure The Boy and the World can be watched.

The film, which was nominated for an Oscar for best animated feature, follows Cuca on a journey through the modern world and serves as a cautionary tale about globalization.

Each of the movie screenings will begin at 7 p.m. and will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so get to MIA Park early.
